Your First Flutter App: An App From Scratch

At this point, you should have an high level understanding about how Flutter creates app. We use the Dart Programming language to compose our app from a variety of widgets. Flutter comes with lots of different widgets and if you need something custom, it’s quite trivial to add your own. In working with widgets, you learned that there are three types of widgets.

That is a stateful widget, a stateless widget, and an inherited widget. State is a big topic in flutter. We’ll touch on it briefly in this course but in Your Second Flutter App, you’ll learn how to persist state throughout your app.

Okay, that was the second part and in the upcoming third part of this course, you’ll learn how to build out your app’s interface and play around with some new widgets such as sliders and padding and learn about state. So take a break and I’ll see you in the next part.
