Getting Started with AI-Augmented Coding in iOS

Welcome to the first module in the AI-augmented iOS Development program. My name is Ehab Amer, and I’ll be your instructor for the first module.

In this module, you’ll get started with setting up your development environment with Xcode and Cursor, use AI to help you understand an existing project and use it to add missing features. You’ll also instruct AI to take control over your app in the simulator, which can be very handy for testing.

Agentic AI can considerably increase your productivity when you use it as an assistant. However, it can harm your productivity if you treat it as a replacement for human judgment. All the lessons and modules in this program will emphasize on the need for you to be in the driver’s seat of what your AI agents are doing. You would be surprised what can go wrong if you don’t, and I’m saying this from experience.
