Transcript: 22. Conclusion

Congratulations on completing Part 3 of this course. In this part, you’ve learned how to save your todos to the device’s shared preferences. You’ve also learned how to read your todos from the shared preferences.

You’ve also created an AlertDialog to add new todos. The AlertDialog has an input field to enter the todo and a button to create the todo. On clicking the button the todo is added to the list and the AlertDialog is dismissed.

You’ve learned what a viewmodel is and the advantages it offers for your apps. You’ve also learned how to use the viewModel function to create an instance of your viewmodel.
