Advanced Networking with URLSession

That’s all, folks! You’ve taken the skills learned in the beginner course for URLSession and taken the to another level. We covered lots of topics in this course, so you should be proud.

As for me? I’m now even more excited about further extending my apps and projects to leverage URLSession and everything that’s available.

I hope you too have great ideas you can’t wait to implement. Let’s do a little recap of the course.

In this course you took on more advanced networking and URLSession topics, and first learned how to upload data. You then learned about background downloads.

From there, you learned about sockets and wrote your own WebSockets code for a two-way communication between your app and server.

Next, you tackled on authentication and App Transport Security. Finally, you worked learned about cookies and got to work with them.

So where can you go from here? I highly recommend you look at the documentation for networking and URLSession.

You should also check out the developer forums and search for networking and URLSession in order to see what others are asking, struggling with, and doing with the same APIs and Frameworkf you used in this course.

Finally, tinkering and experimentation are the best ways to learn, so put your new knowledge to the test in your apps and projects.
