Congratulations and well done - you’ve completed the first part of this course and you’ve learned a ton about working with objects in Dart.
First, you learned about classes and how to define them. As you learned, every object is instance of your class.
Next you learned about constructors. Constructors is a huge topic and we’ve only covered some of them. You learned to create you own custom constructor.
Then you learned about initialization lists. These lists are a way to make sure all your instance variables have a value.
After which, you learned how to declare multiple different constructors. So as you can see, constructors are an extremely important aspect in creating your objects.
Once we covered constructor, you learned how to declare static properties and methods. By declaring a property or method as static, you don’t need an object since the static member is associated with the class.
Finally, we closed out this part with an overview of enumerations which is a great way to simplify as well as self-document your code.
At this point, you can go off and create some classes, but we’re only getting started with them. Classes contain a whole lot of functionality for reusing code and this is all done through the magic of inheritance. So take a break, and when you are ready and refreshed, head on over to the next part where we will dive deeper into classes.
