Weekend workshop introducing iOS programming to Baltimore developers!

In an effort to help grow the iOS development community in the Baltimore Maryland area, Shawn Grimes and I are organizing another offering of iPhone 101 for local developers!

This is a 2-day workshop for programmers interested in learning the basics of iOS development, and will be held on Saturday, December 11th and Sunday, December 12th in a location TBD in Baltimore, MD.

For more information about the course and what will be covered, check out the above link for the course slides and info.

How Much Will It Cost?

That’s one of the best parts – it’s (almost) free! As a benefit to the establishment of the iPhone dev community in/near Baltimore, Shawn and I will be subsidizing much of the costs and ask for only $10 to attend to help defray the costs a bit.

In fact, you may make out like a bandit if you attend! Not only will you gain mad skillz and meet fun programmers, but we’ll be giving away epic loot including geek stickers, toys, a bunch of awesome iOS programming books donated by Addison-Wesley, and more!

Special thanks to Baltimore Mobile Developers, Capitol College, UI Stencils, and Addison-Wesley for their help and generosity!

What Do I Need To Bring?

Bring your Macs, iPhones, and iPads if you have them and any spares too! Don’t worry if you don’t have one, you can team up with someone who does in class. A deep interest in software development or experience with C or Objective-C will be greatly beneficial to you as an attendant as well.

How Do I Sign Up?

Visit the iOS 101 EventBrite page to sign up. Seats are limited so grab one while they’re still available!

Feel free to share the link with others you think may be interested as well.

What’s Next?

This was just a quick announcement – stay tuned for another tutorial on a Cocos2D-related topic next Tues – and Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
